I like to think of myself as a master of creating and bringing products to market. I have done many different brands, my own and for others, most are in the skincare and beauty industry however it is the same process for all. I try to stick to the same 5 step process for each although sometimes there can be additional steps depending on the complexity of the product. Today I want to stick to the creation side but know that after your product has been released to the world you must then focus on marketing which is an entirely separate process I have.

Having your own products can make a world of a difference. Can you imagine you have all these customers and all you do is getting them to fall in love with someone else’s brand that is sold at other businesses. There is no brand loyalty left for you to keep them long term. The best things is when you can combine your services and products they will fall in love with making them have to come back to you. That is the end goal. The more products you sell someone the more they are invested in your overall brand.

Let’s say you own a busy plastic surgery or dermatology office and you want to launch your own product line. The easiest step is to work with a company who formulates everything, does packaging and sends you the products done for you. This is great except it will significantly erode margins and more so when your revenue continues to grow. Plus you are just selling what everyone else is selling and there is no unique factor.
